Berbatov Reveals What Lukaku Is Not Doing Well For Man United

Published

on

former Manchester United striker, Dimitar Berbatov, has told the club’s striker, Romelu Lukaku to keep things simple.

Berbatov saw Lukaku struggle again in United Champions League 1-0 loss to Juventus on Tuesday.

Lukaku has not scored for United in his last eight games, with his last goal coming against Watford on September 15.

Berbatov said Lukaku may be over-complicating things as he looks to rediscover his form.

“He (Lukaku) wants to impress so badly that he is doing too much, and not doing the simple things like getting into the box,” Berbatov told Betfair.

“He is probably over complicating things; you don’t want to see him popping up at left-back as he did on Tuesday.

“There has been a lot of criticism for Romelu Lukaku since the game but you’ll never catch me having a go at a fellow striker. I know how difficult it is.

“I remember when I was on a bad run at United when I hadn’t scored for seven or eight games, but then scored five in one game! It happens to everyone.

“I know he’s not scored for eight games, but I don’t think the criticism of Lukaku is fair. As Jose Mourinho said, he’s working very hard for the team, but this might actually be working against the striker.”

Thorgan, Eden Hazard’s brother, speaks on Chelsea star’s decision

Published

on

Tborgan, the younger brother of Chelsea forward, Eden Hazard, has said his elder brother will make the right decision regarding his future at Chelsea.

Hazard decided to stay at Stamford Bridge despite significant interest from Spanish giants Real Madrid and Thorgan believes his brother made the right decision at least for now.
Hazard had said that he was considering his future at the Stamford Bridge after the World Cup.

But the Belgian captain has since hit top form under new manager Maurizio Sarri and co-leads the Premier League scoring charts with seven goals.

Thorgan, who plays in the Bundesliga with Borussia Monchengladbach, said his older brother will think carefully before joining another club.

“Eden made the right decision to stay at Chelsea,” he told Belgian newspaper HLN.

“Chelsea weren’t keen on selling him and he had a strong start of the season.

“Real are in a complex period. They sacked their manager, key players left. They have to rebuild.

“I think Eden will see what happens at the end of the season. I know him. He’s not thinking about a move right now.

“He will give everything for Chelsea. He doesn’t want a clash with his club either. If he ever leaves, he will play it correctly.”

Guardiola speaks on why Raheem Sterling cannot be world’s best

Published

on

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has said Raheem Sterling can achieve “whatever he wants” in football, but refused to place him among the world’s best players.

Guardiola was speaking after Sterling scored his 50th goal for City in their 6-1 win over Southampton on Sunday.
The England winger also provided two assists as the champions ran riot.

“Raheem is a top player. But still he is so young to consider among the world’s best players.

“He is in incredible form right now, he’s, sharp, fast, clever, fighting, ambitious, decisive, can play on both sides, in the middle, and receives the ball behind lines.

“He always commits the central defender with a lot of aggression. It was an incredible performance – with and without the ball.

“But still, with the young players like him and Leroy [Sane], I would like to feel that still they can improve. Still he loses simple balls, in the Tottenham game he made an assist in the first minutes but after that he lost a lot of balls.

“Of course, his quality one against one is incredible, and he had an incredible game.
“If he is stable and he focuses on what he has to do to become a better and better player, if he has this on his mind, he can reach whatever he wants,” Guardiola said.

Real Madrid Smashed Melilla in Santiago Solari’s first game

Published

Real Madrid under interim coach Santiago Solari, tackled UD Melilla in their Copa del Rey clash on Wednesday, October 31, picking up a 4-0 win on his first mission in charge of Los Blancos.
Melilla were off to a better start at the 12,000 capacity Alvarez Claro Stadium, and had some near-miss opportunities right off the bat.

However, it was not long before Los Blancos turned up the heat in the kitchen and began dominating the game.

Alvaro Odriozola raced down the right and cut back the ball for Karim Benzema, who slotted in the first goal putting Solari’s men in the lead.
Vinicius Juniour was a live spark throughout the encounter and was a constant threat for the hosts.

The young Brazilian ace helped in the build-up of the first goal and brilliantly set up Marco Asensio for his second goal.

He picked up the ball from the left and found Marco Asensio and delivered a crisp pass with the outside of his foot for Asensio to seal the deal, with a snap shot on his left foot.

Vincius almost bagged his first goal for Madrid but goalkeeper Bario denied him the chance only for Odriozola to get the final touch, amid a scramble that ensued to make it 3-0 to Real Madrid.

Cristo Gonzalez squeezed in a final goal well into stoppage time for Madrid to bring the final goal tally to 4-0.
