Bayern Wants Move for Coutinho
The future of Barcelona midfielder, Philippe Coutinho, this summer might still be far from Camp Nou. After reports of failed return to Premier League, latest rumors now linking the Brazilian with Bundesliga giant, Bayern Munich.
Bayern are still looking to improve their squad, especially after failing to bid for Manchester City’s Leroy Sane. The winger’s recent long term injury is forcing Niko Kovac’s side to change their transfer plan for this upcoming new season.
One of the players who Die Roten are keen on getting are Coutinho as Barca are keen on moving him. Moreover, if the ex-Liverpool man is available on loan, Kovac’s side will be much more interested.
The Brazilian’s inconsistent display during his time with Barcelona seems to be putting off some teams so far. Especially since the Catalan side are asking a pretty big money for potential transfer.
However, having the chance to see how the midfielder go with their team for at least a season is triggering Bayern’s attention. If Coutinho is able to produce the kind of impact FC Hollywood are asking, he will be bought next season.
The Bavarian side are not scared to spent money, but only if they are sure they’re getting players they really like. They were more than willing to spent huge sum for Sane before he got an ACL injury last weekend.
Kelechi Iheanacho has been dropped From Nigeria’s 23-man Squad for #AFCON2019
Gernot Rohr, Super Eagles coach, has dropped Kelechi Iheanacho, Leicester City forward, and Rotterdam’s Semi Ajayi from the 23-man final squad for the 2019 African Cup of Nations (Afcon) in Egypt.
Ihenacho, who had a tough season with less of play time during the English Premier League season, was dropped due to “lack of fitness”.
In the last season, he came on for Leicester city as a substitute 21 times, started four times in the EFL cup and scored just one goal.
He featured just once for The Foxes in the 2018/19 FA Cup.
Ajayi, who had a splendid season with his championship side, also failed to scale the talents in the defence.
Rohr unveiled his squad after the team’s friendly 0-0 match against Zimbabwe on Saturday.
FC Midtjyland’s Paul Onuachu and Victor Osimhen of Royal Charleroi, Belgium, are the new call ups in the Super Eagles.
The team will depart for Egypt on Sunday aboard a chartered aircraft to set up a final training camp in the city of Ismailia.
The Eagles will take on Africa’s “number one” team, Senegal, in their final pre-AFCON friendly on June 16.
Nigeria will confront Burundi, Guinea and Madagascar in Group B of the 32nd continental tournament taking place in four Egyptian cities between June 21 and July 19.

Napoli Ready to Challenge Barcelona for Valencia Star Rodrigo
Italian side, Napoli, are eager to sign Valencia and Spanish international striker, Rodrigo for next season. However, their attempt won’t be easy as they must compete with other teams, including Spanish giant, Barcelona.
Partenopei are keen on improving their squad and believes that the Spaniard can bring them an added quality up front. The 28-year-old is also at the right age to flourish and help any sides, including Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.
Although he is an important player at Valencia, but Los Che are willing to listen for any interesting offers for their star forward. Marcelino’s team are not keeping anyone under their own will, especially if there’s a good offer coming.
Ancelotti’s stature as tactician might persuade Rodrigo into picking Napoli, but it still won’t be easy. Barca’s strong appeal remain attractive for any Spanish players, especially at the attacker’s current age.
Barcelona themselves are looking for potential replacement for Luis Suarez and have been pondering their options. There’s also talks of Blaugrana signing Antoine Griezmann, but no confirmation has arrived until now.
Aside from those two teams, there are also AS Roma and German giant, Bayern Munich that have shown interest. Following his consistent performance in recent seasons with Valencia, Rodrigo is indeed an interesting player to have for many top teams.
